Global QA is looking for dynamic, motivated individuals with excellent written and verbal communication skills to be part of a new team of Technical Writers.
Technical Writers will compose technical documentation for EDA portfolio of products. The audience is our internal delivery centres and customers. The ideal candidate will be skilled with technologies including client/server application, Web application, databases and is able to learn new technologies quickly. This candidate understands the development lifecycle. The successful candidate must be able to produce high-quality user guides, online help and configuration guides. This position requires a person with the interpersonal skills necessary to successfully work across organizational lines to develop and maintain a rapport with a variety of individuals. The candidate will work with EDA development teams, QA teams, architects, engineers, product manager and other teams to ensure documentation products meet requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Understand requirements, develop a documentation plan and work with managers and engineers.
- Work with management to identify and prioritize documentation projects.
- Interview QA engineer, software engineer, product managers and matter experts to create and maintain user guides.
- Use existing information model to develop structured content.
- Develop appropriate process and technical illustrations.
- Drive documentation review and approval processes.
- Work to provide error-free and technically accurate documentation that is consistent across subject areas.
- Actively participate in new product development for core subjects documented, including reviewing and assisting with functional, technical and design specifications.
- Work closely with various departments throughout the organization to perform responsibilities.
Qualifications:
· Ability to quickly grasp and communicate technical concepts.
· Ability to earn credibility with architects, engineers and the internal documentation audience.
· Excellence in writing clearly and concisely for internal technical or non-technical audience based on project requirements.
· Ability to plan and manage own work balancing multiple projects requiring coordination across a number of teams.
· Excellent native-level written English is required.
· BA/BS in Journalism, English, Technical Communications, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
· Work requires some experience writing documentation, preferably in a computer related field with an emphasis on technical documentation. n in the wireless or communications field.
· You have excellent organization, communication and written skills
· You have an eye for detail and understand the importance of well presented, accurate documentation
· You are highly motivated, can quickly grasp complex technical concepts and you learn fast
· You are proactive, and a team player
· You have good technical skills and are proficient in Microsoft Office
